Home

Well, we are a little behind in doing this, but we wanted to share with you photos of our new home! We moved in Memorial Day weekend without a hitch and with the huge help of the Hamburg Werners. I don't think I had to lift any heavy furniture! And they even helped us scrupulously clean the apartment when we moved out.

That all seems like a long time ago now... Since then we've done a little painting and minor improvements. John has done a lot of work on the yard; he is in fact mowing as I type this. There are still some projects we'd like to get done, but I hear that is always the case in a house. All in all, we are incredibly thankful and feel very blessed to have our home. And yes, it is quite small! But it feels like the right size for us. And I didn't include photos of the basement since it's not absolutely lovely or exciting. We have a utility room, storage closet, bathroom, and television room in the basement. If you're just dying to see it, I'll send you some photos, or feel free to visit!!

Big cozy chair in front room
Fireplace in front room; windows are looking out south
Dining area, just to left of fireplace, with glimpse of kitchen
Kitchen stove and window; this window looks out onto backyard, east of house

Well, that's it for now. I will soon be updating the blog again. My Mom and David as well as my grandpa Richard just visited last week. While Mom was here she sewed those lovely green valances in the front room, and the boys went camping and fishin at the boundary waters in northern Minnesota with John and his dad, Dave. Photos to come soon...
