Recent Events

Well, we made it; we are now Minnesota residents. See our new living room? Since the last posting, I have graduated from PA school, John has completed his final year teaching at Grace Lutheran School, we have moved to Minnesota, we have attended the Martens' family reunion in Illinois (John's grandma's family), and we've visited my family in Colorado. Phew! Time passes, beautiful things happen, and we are now settling into our new home. God is good to us and has provided us with employment and a home about 1 hour from John's family. At this moment, I am relaxing, settling in, eating nachos, and nervously and anxiously anticipating my start date at the Shriners Hospital for Children on Monday, July 17. John is visiting his friend Nick in Seward, NE; he and Jessica, his sister, left this morning to visit their respective friends there.

Here are some recent photos:

John and Michael enjoying a hammock at the reunion in June. You're right; they're not really sleeping, but don't they look comfortable?

Can you tell Dessie loves her new laundry basket?

God's richest blessings upon each of you!
